In this episode of Kept Podcast, Tierra explores one of the most important teachings Jesus gives His followers: abiding in Him.
In John 15, Jesus describes Himself as the True Vine and invites His followers to remain connected to Him in order to bear lasting spiritual fruit. But what does it actually mean to abide in Christ? And how do we live that out in our everyday lives?
In this teaching, Tierra answers three essential questions:
• What does it mean to abide in Christ?• How do we practically abide in God?• Why is abiding necessary for spiritual growth and fruitfulness?
Abiding is more than a spiritual concept—it is the foundation of the Christian life. When we remain connected to Christ, we experience His life, His strength, and His transforming work within us.
If you’ve ever struggled to stay spiritually grounded or wondered how to grow deeper in your relationship with God, this episode will help you understand how abiding in Christ produces stability, intimacy with God, and lasting fruit.

In this episode of Kept Podcast, Tierra sits down with Dr. Mekel Harris to explore the powerful truth that God’s grace is truly sufficient for us.
Many believers struggle with weakness, hardship, and seasons where they feel overwhelmed. But Scripture reveals a surprising reality: God often chooses to display His strength most clearly in our weakness.
Drawing from the truth found in 2 Corinthians 12, we discuss how God’s power is perfected in our limitations and why believers can actually rejoice in their weaknesses. When we stop striving to appear strong, we create space for God’s strength to be revealed in our lives.
In this conversation we explore:
• What it means that God’s grace is sufficient• Why weakness is not a failure in the Christian life• How God’s strength is perfected in our limitations• Practical wisdom for trusting God in seasons of hardship• How to walk through suffering with hope and confidence in God
If you are walking through a difficult season or feeling overwhelmed by your circumstances, this episode will remind you that your weakness is not the end of the story—it is often the place where God’s power becomes most visible.

In this episode of Kept Podcast, Tierra sits down with April Farmer to talk about trusting God’s plan—even when life doesn’t make sense. Many of us walk through seasons where we question what God is doing. Unexpected challenges, uncertainty, and hardship can make it difficult to see His purpose. But what if peace in those seasons is not found in understanding God’s plan, but in receiving His love? In this conversation, we discuss how God’s love enables us to endure difficult seasons with peace and strength. When we allow Him to walk with us through our trials, He gives us wisdom, hope, and the grace to carry what once felt impossible.
In this episode we explore:
• How to trust God when you don’t understand His plan
• Why receiving God’s love changes how we endure hardship
• How God gives wisdom and hope in difficult seasons
• Why some trials don’t have to be as heavy as we think
• Learning to walk with God through uncertainty God does not leave us alone in our trials.
When we allow Him to engage with us in the process, He strengthens us, steadies our hearts, and reminds us that His plans are always good—even when we cannot yet see them. If you’re navigating a difficult season or struggling to trust God’s direction for your life, this conversation will encourage you to lean into His love and find peace in His presence. In this episode of Kept Podcast, Tierra sits down with Bible teacher Alexandra Hoover to talk about the beauty, cost, and spiritual fruit of obedience to God.
Many believers desire the peace and joy that come from walking with God, but we often underestimate the daily surrender required to follow Him faithfully. Obedience is not always easy—in fact, it often involves wrestling with our desires, expectations, and comfort.
Together, we discuss how God uses obedience, even through suffering, to produce deeper joy, maturity, and intimacy with Him.
In this conversation, we explore:
• Why obedience to God often feels like a wrestle• How surrender produces spiritual growth• Why suffering can lead to deeper joy• The importance of daily surrender to God• Why we shouldn’t be surprised when following God feels costly
God is not simply asking for our behavior—He is forming our hearts. Through obedience, He shapes us into people who trust Him more deeply and experience the joy that comes from walking closely with Him.
If you’ve ever struggled with surrender or wondered why obedience feels difficult, this episode will encourage you to see what God is producing in you through the process.

In this episode of Kept Podcast, Tierra unpacks what spiritual maturity and holy deliverance truly mean from a godly perspective. Using Philippians chapter 1, we look at Paul’s imprisonment and the powerful way he defines maturity, joy, and purpose in the midst of suffering.
This conversation challenges the common belief that God’s primary goal is to remove us from difficult circumstances. Instead, we explore how God often prioritizes something deeper:
👉 cultivating holiness
👉 growing intimacy with Him
👉 shaping our character
👉 and maturing our faith

If you’ve ever wondered why God hasn’t removed certain struggles, this episode offers biblical clarity and encouragement. God may not always deliver us from the fire—but He is always working in us through it.
This episode will help you shift your perspective, deepen your faith, and embrace the growth God is producing in every season.

In this powerful episode of Kept Podcast, Tierra sits down with Jessica Mathisen to discuss the importance of having a biblical theology of suffering and what it truly means to acknowledge God in the midst of financial hardship and unexpected life changes. As Christians, it can be easy to assume that trials are a form of punishment or a sign that we’ve done something wrong. But what if our struggles are not punishment — but preparation? What if God is using difficult seasons to deepen our intimacy with Him?
In this conversation, we explore:
• What the Bible teaches about suffering
• How to trust God during financial difficulties
• Why not every trial is discipline or punishment
• Growing spiritually through hardship
• Developing intimacy with God in uncertain seasons

“Rest isn’t earned — it’s received.” 💛
As I wrap up Season 1 of the Kept Podcast, I can’t help but reflect on how faithful God has been. What started as obedience has turned into something so much bigger than I imagined. Every conversation, every guest, and every lesson has been proof that God truly meets us in our pain and uses it for His glory.
In this final episode, I’m sharing one last encouragement of the season — the importance of casting your cares on the Lord. Jesus invites us in Matthew 11:28-30 to exchange our heavy burdens for His light yoke. I talk about what that means practically, how to speak with God daily about the things that weigh on your heart, and what true soul rest looks like for His daughters.
If you’ve been feeling tired, heavy, or unsure of how to rest in God’s presence — this episode is for you.
